Elise Butler
Elise graduated with a First Class (Hons) BSc in Podiatry from the University of Huddersfield having worked as a podiatry assistant within Bradford NHS Trust whilst studying. She graduated as a mature student with a background in administration and accounting.
Since graduation she has worked for both the Bradford and Leeds NHS trusts as well as in private practice, gaining experience in biomechanics, diabetes care, high risk and wound care. She remains part of the Foot & Ankle team within the Leeds Community Healthcare NHS trust, where she specialises in biomechanical assessments for foot and ankle pain in order to treat many of the most common leg and foot problems, such as Achilles tendon pain, plantar fasciitis and bunions.
At Castle Clinic, Elise offers a comprehensive chiropody and podiatry service, including:
- Toenail cutting
- Callus and corn removal
- Fungal nail treatment
- Management of involuted/ingrown nails
- Treatment of cracked heels
- Verruca treatment
- Bunion and arthritic foot & ankle pain
- Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis
Elise works with custom orthotics, performs nail surgery and provides rehabilitation and lifestyle advice to help improve the various conditions she treats. She is also annotated to the POMS (Prescription Only Medication) register, meaning she is licenced to prescribe certain medications related to foot health and administer local anaesthetics for nail surgery and verruca needling.
